Welcome to The

Trust Room

The Trust Room

This is is the place where we discover the God we can trust in all things. We spend time soaking in God's presence, thinking about Him like He's our best friend--because He is!  What would you talk about with your best friend?  What would you do together?  This is what we do with God.  We practice being with Him, and talking to Him with no filters, totally free and open.

"Let me hear Your lovingkindness in the morning, for I trust in You; teach me the way which I should walk, for to You I lift up my soul." - Psalm 143:8

When we walk into the Trust Room, the Lord hands us new eyeglasses. These new eyeglasses are to give us the right perspective, the Trust Perspective.  The Lord says to us, "Do you know that 'trust' is a 5-letter word?  The other 5-letter word that comes to fight against trust is 'doubt.' "

LEAVING PRISONS OF DOUBT

In this room, I saw followers of Jesus in prison.  Not because of their love or adoration, but because of their faith.  These were Doubt Prisons, and those in them had become Doubt Addicts.  Doubt had become the socially accepted disease.  It was ok for people to repeat their problems and pain, and not expect them to go.  Yet Jesus wanted them to be satisfied and content with God, and to trust Him in their path to freedom.

Jesus then revealed a city--a city being given a beautiful invitation.  This was an invitation to commune with the very thoughts and feelings of God's heart.  Many had external expectations on God to perform a certain way and thought He would fix their marriages, children, or jobs.   These external things were all very important to God, but the Great and Substantial Invitation was to know Him so we would trust Him.

"Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose trust is the Lord. For he will be like a tree planted by the water that extends its roots by a stream and will not fear when the heat comes. But its leaves will be green and it will not be anxious in a year of drought nor cease to yield its fruit." - Jeremiah 17:7-8

I saw a great sprout coming forth from the desert, where good men and women were satisfied with Him from within.  Devotion was so great that the Lord Himself came with His divine tools to build, supply, protect, and defend!  He set our things in order even better than we could.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight." - Proverbs 3:5-6

Let us encounter this God of Trust!  He will supply, guide, protect, and provide!

Trusting Gods Character

Corner 1 | Trusting Gods Character

The 3 Main Points of the Trust Room are:

  1. God is Good
  2. God is Able
  3. God is Near

When these are in place, we become unshakable. The Lord has said He is our Rock.  He is our God in Whom we trust. But do we?  We have heard with our Hope ears the many things in His heart.  We have seen with our Hope Eyeglasses that adoring His face is what causes us to become Pillars of Hope in our communities.  But we still need to trust Him to bring all this forth.  We have to trust on a personal level and on a corporate one.

When we trust, dreams start to break forth.  The other name for the Trust Room is the Dream Room because a dream is a precious thing to loan the Lord.  You trust it is from Him and that He is able to make it happen--and that He is able to make that happen through you.  He is Good, Able, and Near.

In this Corner we learn the stunning truth that Trust isn't laying things on the altar, it is putting them into the hands of our most competent, powerful, and trustworthy God.  He is good and shepherds us, guides us well.  He has treasure boxes of trust that He wants to open with us, where our dreams have been entrusted to Him.  Since He is the shepherd of our souls, He knows which of our treasures to open and in what order.  It is His joy to give us good gifts, including the great dreams He has put in our hearts to ask for!

Practical Application

Give thanks to Him for His many unique giftings and callings.  Ask the Lord to reveal the dreams that He has for you & others, this week, and for the upcoming year!

Trusting Gods Ability

Corner 2 | Trusting Gods Ability

God is able to supply us with everything we need.  He is strong, powerful, and with us.  There isn't anything He can't do.

In this corner we magnify Him as Supplier, the One whom we Trust. One of the strongest things God said to me in this corner was “The number one thing the enemy attacks is trust. There is a disease worse than cancer and an addiction worse than heroin, and and it is doubt. Doubt is addicting, and it will cause you to deteriorate on the inside.”

We need to assure our hearts that God provides for all our needs. Sometimes this is the most difficult area of life to trust God with. We trust God as our Provider in every way; with our finances, our health, a roof over our head, all our emotional needs, etc.  He is able to meet them all, at the same time, with joy--no doubt required.  We are pressing in for the fullness of what the Lord wants to pour out in this season by the equipping of His body to reach cities and nations.

We are continuing to dive deep into the knowledge of our great God, Who is our Redeemer, Supplier, Builder, and Wise God in the midst of every area in our everyday life. As we continue in the Trust Room, in our prayer times, we celebrate and magnify God as our Supplier, giving thanks for all the ways we have seen Him supply for us.

Then we thank Him.  A lifestyle of Thanksgiving is Powerful!  It is life and death. A lifestyle of remembering God’s goodness disables the enemy to pound on anything of what we perceive to lack.  Thanksgiving positions our hearts to be lit up with the light and goodness of Lord.

"For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened" - Romans 1:21

Living a lifestyle of thanksgiving and remembrance” is simply taking the time to stop and give thanks to God our Provider. It witnesses to our own hearts that God is Good to us and He is Able to give us what we need.  If we do not continually minister this to our own hearts, a gap is created; one of the greatest sins is not cultivating a "thankful spiritual memory."

Practical Application

Take time to recount all of the blessings of supply the Lord has provided for you and yours this year.
He is so good to His children, we are continually amazed at how He comes through over and over again!
Have you seen a miracle of supply this year? Take time in your family, business or ministry setting, to magnify the Lord for supplying all your needs in all of your everyday life.

Trusting Yourself & Others

Corner 3 | Trusting Yourself & Others

Jesus said to me, “Trusting Me keeps you from defining yourself by your struggles.”

We are all aware of our limitations and these minister doubt to our hearts. But God is our Great Defender.  He is always with us.  He shows us how He is bigger than our fears and bigger than any demons we face.  We learn to trust Him with our lives, challenges and fears.  We learn to choose to live in Love with Him versus living in fear.

One time when I was looking into Jesus' eyes, He said, “It was a joy to die for you, my Bobby. You have the biggest heart I have ever made.”  It felt like He was bragging about me in front of the angels and most of heaven.  Let God do this for you! Jesus then told them that He was going to sing the Trust Song about who I am in Him and gave me a poem He named the Trust Poem:

“See how trust grows in the sweet alone,
without picking up the telephone.
It is the trust in you and in Myself
that turns My life into a life care.
Trust in Myself turns life into joy from fear;
turns life into kisses from tears.”

I had been through some life-altering struggles and Jesus said, "Don’t be around religious people, be around people who think you are ten feet tall on your worst day.”  We need Marvelous Comrades.  We need other people to walk alongside us and hold us up when it's hard to stand. Having the right people around us, loyal ones we can trust to know us, is important to building with God.  We must learn to not get disappointed in others.  We must have the right boundaries and healthy relationships so that we focus on those whom God has given us to run with, and we return the favor to those God has appointed us to.
