The Love & Forgiveness Room

Welcome to the second room of the Yellow House!

The Love and Forgiveness Room is where gain the ability to appreciate

the people and experiences which have hurt us the most. This is the room

where God recovers all.  We become free from the chains which have held us captive, and we receive a new heart from Him.  We learn how to love well even when we aren't loved well.

If you love those who love you, what reward will you get?

Do not even tax collectors do the same?

And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others?

Do not even Gentiles do the same?

Be perfect, therefore, as your Heavenly Father is perfect.”

(Matthew 5:46-48)

As I entered the Love and Forgiveness Room, Jesus said to me, “You can do this… my love is bigger and stronger than anything else in this world and with me by your side, there is nothing you cannot do. In this room, there is no fear, no shame and no hiding. I understand and embrace everything about who you are and what you have walked through in your life. I have been with you every moment and never once have I turned away from you.

He continued, "I’ve seen the fight and courage of heart in your darkest moments… when you wrestled with me like Jacob.  He wouldn’t let go or give up on the promise of my blessing over his life until it happened. Likewise, you are one who has always held onto the truth of my goodness and love.  Even when hopelessness and despair attempted to pin you to the mat, you did not succumb.”

“However, it was during these darkest of trials that you adopted the 'I don’t care' attitude to cope with the deep pains of rejection and misunderstanding you experienced.  But with me, there is no fear of any such treatment. Be open with me. Be honest. Don’t be afraid to be vulnerable and face the areas of your life where you have withheld forgiveness. You’re safe with me and if we don’t deal with this, then you will continue to live and operate at a level that is less than whole, and that is not what I desire for you.

ROMANS 7 MAN: I did not make you to be like the Romans 7 man who wrestles against rights, wrongs and judgments against yourself and others. This kind of thinking will only get you stuck in the narrow gate where you have no understanding of my mercy.  We are done with the do's and don’t's and the rights and wrongs... you are perfect in my sight... and so are all my children.

BECOMING A ROMANS 8 MAN: I am not one to bring shame and condemnation or to require endless works for my mercy to be released. I am the God who never leaves you or forsakes you and my desire is to deliver you from bondage and turn you into the Romans 8 man who knows that he is no longer a slave to fear, but an adopted child of God. My spirit lives within you, and though you have suffered deeply, I promise that I cause all things to work together for your good, and if I am for you, then who can be against you? There is nothing that will ever separate you from my love. Surely Paul knew the truth when he wrote in Romans 8:38-39, “For I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today or worries about tomorrow – not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below – indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

TAKE THE LOG OUT OF YOUR EYE AND PUT YOUR LOVE ON INSTEAD: It is time to take the log out of your eye towards yourself and others and put your love on instead. You must forgive as you desire to be forgiven. I’ll tell you this Son, the earth is void of my mercy." I was flabbergasted and broke out in a cold sweat when I heard Jesus say this to me.

FORGIVENESS IS THE MOST GENEROUS GIFT YOU CAN GIVE: Then Jesus said, "You can’t bring people hope if you don’t understand my mercy and forgiveness. I didn't look at how the Samaritans rejected me. I was hurt, but I understood that they needed beauty for ashes and it was such a privilege to be able to change them forever by giving them forgiveness. Forgiveness is the most generous gift you can give."

So let’s get on with it! Forgiveness is a whole lot more fun than you think, so let's have fun forgiving what needs to be forgiven in your heart.
