I Love You Room- Corner 3
Enjoying the Passionate Pursuit
Enjoying the Passionate Pursuit is about letting yourself be passionately pursued by your God. He doesn't just want a touch, an encounter--He wants a marriage! He's gone from inviting you to come through the door into His intimacy, to inviting you into a chase of love and affection. Let Him chase you, and then chase Him back!
It is good and delightful thing to give thanks to the LORD! To sing praises to Your Name, O Most High.
It is good to proclaim your unfailing love in the morning, and your faithfulness in the evening...
In The I Love You Room God told me, “You stopped going into the I Love You Room. You need to go into this room every day. You need to know how loved and cherished you are by Me.” In this corner we become secured in Gods love and affection for us. Our hearts become oiled by His Love in this corner.
We get to soak in the beautiful, restorative pools of His Love and are saturated with His Presence. Our dry bones come alive with His Love.
We can never stop going into the I Love You Room, where we are adored by Him and so we learn how to adore Him back. This is the Room of Adoration Love! He gives it to us, and we give it back to Him... every day.
We love because he first loved us.
1 John 4:19
Jesus doesn't take days off. He adores you every day but you have to look for it. When I first opened the door to the Yellow House, there was a beautiful garden in the lobby of this beautiful home. It was over my head. It was wild. It had all kinds of different flowers and tundra. The Lord led me up these round steps so I could look down on this garden.
I was with Somebody so sweet, caring, and nurturing. I was uncomfortable with this One who was so in the moment, Who just wanted me to stop and smell the roses along the way. He showed me this garden from the top of the stairwell--all this beautiful vegetation and what it meant: the roses, lilacs, and petunias. There were even poisonous plants. They were able to be used for good in the Potter's hands.
This One was so in the moment, so guiding me into the depths of the garden, which I was never able to see. I always had to be off into the future. This One was trying to bring me into that love that brought me into the present and the presence. I looked down at this garden and it was as if I could see it deeply in the moment. I wasn’t seeing it quickly and looking down the chessboard for the next eight moves. I was there. I started to find healing happen to my heart where I could just enjoy the moment. It was very hard for me to sit and be present, and all there. I was always out ahead.
This One showed me this garden, the beauty of the different flowers and vegetation. Then, I saw all the wildness of the garden. He said, “You know what that garden is?” I could feel the sweetness of the Holy Spirit. He said, “That garden is your heart.”
Then in the midst of this wild garden, I saw Him sit down on a park bench and hold out a rose--hold out a flower for me which I was to take. It was the invitation to have His love in my day. I was always so busy, but Jesus said He was everyday holding out a rose to me in the Garden of my heart with Him. Would I stop and take it? Would I leave the busyness, pain, and thoughts to just come be with Him as the Lover of my Soul?
Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the LORD God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day,
and they hid from the LORD God among the trees of the garden.
Then, I realized I knew Jesus. I do not want to hide. Jesus has been my Best Friend. That’s all I ever wanted to be, a friend to Jesus. I want to know how He feels, what He thinks, what’s on His heart. How can I bless what’s on His heart? I want to walk with Him in the cool of the garden as He wanted. I want Him to know how special He is! I love the warmth He brings me He tells me how to walk through life’s situations. He always brings wisdom and kindness to the forefront. I love having those conversations with Him in the day. It is so awesome to see Him. He thinks in a way that is beyond my comprehension. It is so beautiful.
Allow yourself to be passionately pursued by Jesus, and do some things with Him that you would do with a person who was passionate about you. Go for a walk in a park with Him, carve your names in a tree together, write a poem to Him, or just have communion. Receive the rose in your heart and allow Jesus to court you until you are comfortable with Him adoring you. You'll know when because you'll feel the Adoration rising back up inside. Don't give up until you feel it!
