Hopeful Questions

Jesus asks you to look into the correct mirror that reflects how wonderful you really are in Him!  Ask Him to help you stop and ponder any of the following truth statements that His mirror wants to tell you personally:

NOTE: There are 50 statements, so it may be best to break these up over a few days.

  1. They say you are a stressful person, but the mirror says you are mature and composed.

  2. They say you are not loving, but the mirror says you are most affectionate.

  3. They say you are unloved and unwanted but the mirror says you are wholly loved and desired.

  4. They say you are ugly, the mirror says you are beautiful!

  5. They say you have no purpose, but the mirror says you have destiny in Christ.

  1. They say you will have no rebound but the mirror says you will bounce back to a higher place than you were before.

  2. They say your name, your heritage is unimportant and wasted, but He says Hebrews 2:12 – He proclaims your name in the midst of the congregation forever.

  3. They say you have no gift that is meaningful. but the mirror says you have the special gift that touches and changes the world – 1 Peter 4:10 – Everyone has a special gift.

  4. They say you are dishonorable, but the mirror says you are a King or Queen, ruling and reigning in honor.

  5. They Say Romans 7 – that you will always be a double minded sinner, and the mirror says you are Romans 8 – a loved son and a true reflection of God.

  1. They say you are a leaf in the wind that wonders in pain and perplexities. The mirror says you are a tree that is deeply rooted by the waters, that is secured in a perfect love that casts out all fears.

  2. They say that you are not desired, but the mirror says “you are all I ever desired”.

  3. They say that God is worn out with you, but the mirror says that God has just started with you.

  4. They say the mirror is a rearview mirror, but He says it is a window to a wondrous "now," without looking back.

  5. They say you’ll live a life of scarcity, but the mirror says you have a life of abundance – then shows you an image full of fruit.

  1. They say you have to be striving all the time, but the mirror says you don’t have to do a thing because you are accepted and loved now.

  2. They say you have to be perfect, and the mirror says “No, you have the art of being a human being, and that is perfect.”

  3. They say that Jesus doesn’t want you, but the mirror shows Jesus chasing you down to have you come dine with him.

  4. They say you have to magnify the problems about yourself, but the mirror says you have to instantly forget the problems about yourself, and love yourself well.

  5. They say you are broke, the mirror says you are wealthy.

  1. They say you are not a prophet, but the mirror says that every word out of your mouth will come from the spirit of God.

  2. They say you aren’t safe, but the mirror says you have thousands of angels protecting you and you are secure.

  3. They say you have to live in a bird cage but the mirror says the whole world is yours and you are free.

  4. They say when someone sins against you, you have to retaliate, but the mirror says “you are not a victim, but one who forgives and overcomes.”

  5. They say you are stuck in imperfections, but the mirror says “celebrate your imperfections with His grace.”

  1. They say you must haul bricks all your life, and work by the sweat of your brow, but the mirror says your yoke is easy, your burden is light, and you will prosper 100 fold.

  2. They say you are getting old, the mirror says there is no way to get old in this 80-100 years on this earth, you’re just getting started.

  3. They say you are rejected but the mirror says you are fully accepted.

  4. They say you are to be criticized but the mirror says you are to be celebrated.

  5. They say “you are boring, there isn’t much to you” but the mirror says, “you are full of wonders to be discovered”.

  1. They say you are done growing and stuck, and the mirror says you are always becoming more and more in love and life.

  2. They say you're abusive, but the mirror says you crown others with dignity and love.

  3. They say you're living in a maze and going to be dragged around in this life, but the mirror shows the opposite – you are free and living in wide open fields.

  4. They say its not ok to be you, but God says “That’s all I want is you and your colorful story.”

  5. They say that you’ll always be a critic of others, but the mirror says you’ll be God's heart and see others with His eyes and see their original design.

  1. They say you’ll be lonely, the mirror says you’ll be nurtured and cared for all the days of your life.

  2. They say there is no hope reformation, the mirror says “The Bible IS that book of Hope and Reformation!”

  3. They say you’ll never be understood, the mirror says that many will be in tune with who you are and love you.

  4. They say you are strange, but the mirror says you are unique, precious and honored.

  5. They say you’ll be unfruitful, but the mirror says you’ll be fruitful and evergreen.

  1. They say you are worthless, but God says that you need not say a word, He will defend you.

  2. They say don’t be vulnerable, but the mirror says God is a safe place and will protect us.

  3. They say stay within the walls of the church, but the mirror says go out and to be a friend of sinners.

  4. They say to judge others, but the mirror says “You are born from the father of mercies and the God of All Comfort – do not judge. Let your love abound.”

  5. They say you are a banana, but the mirror says you are a blueberry!  

  1. They say you have cracked feet, but the mirror says you have healthy feet that bounce.

  2. They say God doesn’t fight for you, but the mirror says “He died for you and that means He fights for you.”

  3. They say you are less than what you think, but the mirror says “you are far better than what you know”…

  4. They say you are the sum total of your traumas, but the mirror says you are the sum total of His precious, powerful & covering blood.

  5. They say treat yourself roughly, but Jesus' mirror says to treat yourself rightly and gently.
