Adoration

In the Be You Room, we behold His face as "The God Who Knows Us."

Heavenly Father, You are the Only One who truly knows us, but oh, how You know us!

There is nothing about us that is hidden from You, O God. Inside and out, You know us. You know our past, You know our present and You alone know our future.

O Lord, You have searched me and You know me.

You know when I sit and when I rise; You perceive my thoughts from afar.

You discern my going out and my lying down;

You are familiar with all my ways.

Before a word is on my tongue,

You know it completely, O Lord.

(Psalm 139:1-4)

You are confident in the beautiful, hope-filled plans You have for us and our ability to walk in them.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you,

plans to give you hope and a future.”

(Jeremiah 29:11)

You are willing to join in our life’s journey, as Your understanding of who we are guides us into our God designed destiny.

...because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.

(Romans 8:14)

When we lose our way, when we step off Your path for us, Your patient an kind Spirit continually calls us back to the way we should go.

There you saw how the Lord your God carried you, as a father carries his son,

all the way you went until you reached this place.

(Deuteronomy 1:31)

And when others see our missteps and mistakes, they often try to declare who we are by holding up faulty mirrors that reflect broken images of us that aren’t accurate.

If you are insulted for the Name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of Glory and of God rests on you.

(1 Peter 4:14)

But, You O Gracious God, in that moment give us a choice—to look at those faulty mirrors and believe what we see, or to turn to You and let You tell us who we really are.  You are the God who ignores all the broken mirrors...

Let the morning bring me word of Your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in You.

Show me the way I should go, for to You I lift up my soul. Rescue me from my enemies, O Lord,

for I hide myself in You. Teach me to do Your will,

for You are my God; may Your good Spirit lead me on level ground.

(Psalm 143:8-10)

Even in times of brokenness, Heavenly Father, You are the only One who can take our face in Your hands and say, “I formed you. I truly know you! Let ME tell you who you really are—how you were created and how I love you."

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart....”

(Jeremiah 1:5)

"I know why you are having a difficult time right now, but you will get past this. I have created you to be an overcomer!"

You, dear children are from God and have overcome them, because the One who is in you is greater

than the One who is in the world.

(1John 4:4)

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

(Romans 8:37)

"I am the One who knows what you are really made of. Ask ME! I would love to tell you!” When we are accused of being a misfit or broken, You , O Lord know just where we belong and how to make us whole.

Yet the Lord longs to be Gracious to you; He rises to show you Compassion.

For the Lord is a God of Justice. Blessed are all who wait for Him!

(Isaiah 30:18)

We love You, Lord. We are so grateful for the uniquely different ways You have created us. You are our Loving, Kind, Encouraging and Redeeming God...and our true identity is found only in You.

But the man who loves God is known by God. (1 Corinthians 8:3)
